First catch of vacation! New to App so any tips send my way

One of the slowest weeks of fishing here in Deep Creek in years. The last two days of my trip I came back empty handed. Even the 4:30am wake up calls and stormy sunset sessions didn’t help. Still though, I managed to land a couple more pickerel including one on a whopper plopper which is technically my first top water fish of the year. Time to head home and target some more dragons 🐉.

After three days in Deep Creek, I’ve caught 6 species. A northern pike, 12 pickerel, 2 smallmouth, a rock bass, a large perch, and a bluegill. The perch came in at 1lbs 2oz which is the largest that I’ve ever weighed, making it an official PB. Today was by far the most productive day, as I landed 8 pickerel, a pike, and a bluegill.
