Just lettin the senko sit

Had to work for this one. Dragged the kayak through gravel just to float a few moments in what deep spots were left in the river. The water was crystal clear so I had to be super finesse with my light set up. A few twitches of my tiny fluke with my light set up next to a tree root ball pulled his 15 inch smallie out to eat. So fun!

The smallies were ROWDY! This guy almost thrashed away during his photo shoot. After dragging through miles of gravely shallow water we got the deep hole and it was worth it. I finessed this river smallie out of his hiding hole and he put up the good fight. We doubled up but I won this time 😜

They were biting.

After catching 2 personal bests within 15 minutes of each other, this guy came out and put up a great fight. Maybe one day he can be someone's personal best 😁

I usually fish ultralight but brought along my heavy setup with my choppo just up see what would happen and boy did I ever! This 19 inch smallie slammed it and jumped out of the water and all I could see was a huge mouth on the biggest smallie I've ever seen! He got under a rock at the bank and I thought I was going to lose it but I got it out of there and only one hook was in it's mouth! My personal best 🥰
