Not terrible for my first day back in Iowa. Bass are definitely still on their beds. Only thing they would bite was the Bellows Gill. 😀

Incredibly tough fishing tonight. No clouds, 100 degrees and the Bluegill were hiding out. I threw everything from ninja throwing stars, shot pop bottle rockets at them, drove a farmers riding mower into the pond, even jumped my new truck in the pond as well. Nothing. Then, the sun finally started to set and I nabbed these 3 with an old cricket bat. Can't complain, didn't get skunked! Happy fishing y'all. #catch22

The Bluegill weren't having it last night but managed to catch a few. Caught these using a 27 foot pole saw. #catch22

Another great evening session, the Bluegill were lively. Me and G Bassturd caught all these with a couple of fighting chickens we bought from the local 4H club. #catch22

Discovered a new fishing spot today here in Iowa. I grew up here and had no clue this existed until today. It did not disappoint. All these Bluegill were caught using leftover roman candles from the 4th of July.
