East River

My fishing partner and I came across a school of feeding tarpon. After 2 unsuccessful hits we finally got one hooked up. We estimated it at around 4 ft length and after several hard runs and numerous leaps we were able to safely and successfully release it.

Went out yesterday to investigate a few new potential flounder spots. We caught 9 legal size from 13-18". I kept the one I'm holding for a nice meal. All caught using 4 inch gulp swimming mullet, white, on a 1/8 ounce chartreuse jig.

Was really hoping this was a trout caught with a 1/0 circle hook which is basically the size of a nickel this ain't the first time I've caught mullet on hooks before most certainly won't be the last
