Personal best black drum at 24”, he actually bent my Owner size 4 hook. Caught more, all on the rising tide, after that it was all catfish.

Brought in the limit of drum today and caught my first sheepshead - thought it was a drum but then got a look at those teeth! Now that I know the right size to keep and how good everyone says they taste, I’ll see if I can find some more. Perfect day fishing, gorgeous weather, nice tides and not too much wind for the kayak. Better than any day ever at work!

Paid attention to the solunar chart on this app and got out kayaking early. Very windy, strong tide, anchor slipping, was tough but landed 3 slot drum (smallest was 17”) in 2 1/2 hours. Decided to have nuggets for dinner, I earned them today!
