Recent Catches At Santa Ana River

In 1978 a group of friends and myself took a bike riding trip to Fairmount Park by way of the Santa Anna River bike trail. When we rode by water run off near the bike trail I saw the tail of the Carp breaking the surface of the water. I got off my bike, took off shoes and socks then got in the shallow water. My buddies just watched as I flipped 3 Carp on to the bank near the trail by hand . One was 24 inches, the next 20 and the third was 18. This picture of me with my Grandpa with two of the Carp was taken in 78. Grandpa already got one cleaned and cut into Carp Steaks
