Small red fish.. too small to keep

Short trip to Galveston last week. Caught a bunch of catfish. The locals call them "trash fish", we were told. We still had a blast. We were fishing bottom with shrimp, so hence all the "undesirable " catches....we didn't care even after others on the pier pointed it out. Caught alot more than anyone around us. But of course they were targeting other species. Threw em all back alive. Live and learn. Tight lines !

First catches on the new MG-TI! This is an amazing reel! Bought it for a squarebill setup but wanted to try it out for a few more things so I put it on my 7’6” swimbait RLP rod. Got these guys on a weightless trick worm wacky rigged. Made some pretty good casts as well! The breaking system is by far the best I’ve ever used
