The reduction of water behind the dams is a very worrying situation. The Friendship Dam on the border of Iran and Turkmenistan is over 18 kilometers long, which has been reduced to 3 to 4 kilometers due to the closure of Iran's water rights from the Hirmand River. This important issue requires international follow-up by global organizations.
