Tough day on the Mississippi for everyone except the first place team who caught 22 lbs and won big fish with a 5.5lbs lol All our fish that we found in practice were gone! Our hot spots didn’t produce anything.. 45 minutes until check in and with 10lbs, I suggested going to go check a spot that I knew about because I noticed there hadn’t been a boat on it for a while. First cast with the jerkbait, I connect with a 4 pounder.. Bumped us up 20 spots!!! Ended up 24 out of 63 boats.. we fished against and beat a lot of really good people. Never give up, make that next cast because you never know what’s going to bite next!
