Rock bass and perch were biting hard today! Beautiful trip up to Vermont

#BassOff2020 27" long, 6.70 Lbs large mouth Bass in lake memphremagog on the border w/Vermont & Canada! I was running a top water Chartreuse Popper. This fish hit with energy, a loud "SLAP" like a board hitting the water, totally catching me off guard! I Cast under a large willow & waited as the 1st ripples flattened out. This bass hit the popper as I jerked the popper on the 3rd return of the same cast. I had to quickly let line out, then reel in, then out...multiple times. This bass spent more time in the air then the water during this epic showdown...one man...one fish..."there can be only one!" One hell of a fighter! I returned this fish to become even bigger and maybe giving another angler the chance to feel what I felt! The total rush of "the duel". My largest bass caught ever. And from what I'm told a trophy for these parts!
