Finally got one on this micro lure. Just before the sun went down

Bucket list species! My goal for my trip out to western PA was to catch my first ever sauger and I finally got one in the final minutes. I was throwing live minnows all morning with a ton of success. I managed to land 5 species on them, two beautiful walleye, a white bass, three crappie, a rock bass, and some smallmouth. It wasn’t until I ran out of minnows that I decided to switch to a jerkbait and cast around for a few minutes, and on the second cast, I landed my first ever sauger! What a way to end an incredible trip fishing the Ohio River and its tributaries.

Awesome 6 species days on a favorite creek of mine. Started with a smallmouth and followed it up with a rock bass, catfish, white bass, drum, and finally a walleye. It was worth getting up early for!
