First Bass of 2026!… is a little dink. Only fish of the day for me, my dad caught a slightly bigger largemouth earlier in the day. The fish are still very cold, even in Lake Niangua in MO. My family is still on spring break, so we are camping in MO for the weekend. The second picture is of my Baitcaster spool. 😬. So I was casting my mini glide bait and I snagged my dad’s line behind me and yah that happened. So now I’m going to go back to braided line on my Baitcaster. While I was casting my glide bait I must’ve snagged a carp because there was definitely a big something on the end of my line for about two seconds. Hopefully it warms up and stays warm soon, I’m ready for summer fishing already, I’ve got some good spots in mind.
