One decently chonky bass and his little bro. I was aiming for walleye, but at least I got 9 on the board in one night. I really like driving a boat. Just feels right. I was trolling, fishing and checking the sonar on a huge pontoon by myself all at the same time. I really need a boat. Or some friends with a boat. Sometimes it feels like I might be getting good at this. But when I catch a bullhead, that's the end of fishing for the evening, for me.

Couple rock bass on the board, let's goooo! I looked up if rock bass are actually a bass, and turns out they are not. I'll be durned, they're a species of sunfish.

Speaking of sunnies, these guys decided to harass my crawler harness in between the pike, rock bass and largemouth. Get off, you little pricks, I'm still aiming for walleye!

My brother in-law-in-law (husband's sister's husband? I dunno what to call him) likes to say "there's no fish in Belle Taine." Well I found 'em. All it took was a rented pontoon (and its fancy Lowrance sonar), a bottom bouncer with a gold spinner and nightcrawler harness, and some fishing intel from an intoxicated dude at a local bar who stopped to compliment my... shirt. (Thanks bro! 😂) Second pike was 25," not too shabby, for me.
