Robert Parker At Little Crotched Lake
The wind was brutal on Crotched and Little Crotched yesterday. But it was also a gift because it allowed me to drift a 3/8 Dirty Jig with a Net Bait Paca Craw down the very steep drop-offs from shore. The wind was pushing me everywhere, but worth fighting it and repositioning after every cast, because it hid my yak and put a perfect bow in the line drawing a lot of strikes. You could feel even the slightest tap. This lake gets a bad rap. It’s loaded. Just have to adjust your tactics. 👍

Robert Parker At Crotched Lake
Crotched Lake in Holly has a reputation for being difficult to fish so, of course, I needed to find out for myself. It’s basically a long skinny stretch of water with very steep drop-offs, limited cover and very little bottom structure that I could find. But, it was overcast today and I had a feeling they would be staging at the drop-offs and ambushing bait along the shore. I circled the lake waiting for my finder to chirp. I mainly threw a black walking bait (size 90) and a Graph Shad. Instead of long side-to-side movements with the walker, I worked it fast and they blew it up! Nothing huge but it was satisfying figuring them out. 👍
