Spring Bay, Illinois

This place is GORGEOUS. Sankoty Lakes is an incredibly healthy fishery and it's a shame it's formally closed down for the moment, but I am grateful I managed to get out here at least once. 💜 Blanked on pike and trout (probably out deep, it was HOT), but absolutely HAMMERED the bass along the shoreline on a mix of rigs. Even got our first few fish on an inline spinner yesterday! Second post incoming to show a few interesting panfish, and a NEW SPECIES! (for me 😇)
