Caught this slob on my bass setup by accident and he almost snapped my rod in half. Luckily my buddy jumped in and got em! I dont even catfish so this is INSANE to me! BOUT A 24lb tank!

62 degree water, 5-10 mph winds, 65-72 air temp, sunny and clear water. Caught 18 bass avg 11-12 inches. Full bellies. Caught 3 on junebug, rest on crank bait. Jason caught 3/4 smaller ones but lost a 16+. No catches up the creek as water was super clear. Most fish caught between 9:30-11:30am.

Movin' on up! Nice 2½ pounder out of Willow lake today; no love from the trout on a little bottom rig, but the fight with this dude absolutely made up for it! 🎣 I'd thrown the jig out with the trout rig and let myself drift backwards awhile so I could get some line out on the powerbait rig; sucker grabbed it like 4 hops in, cue the hardest hookset of my life. 😂🤌

Couldn't help but go back to Willow Lake over the weekend; what a beautiful spot! Whacked a handful of dinks draggin' & hoppin' a jig out deep on Saturday, and hit the banks with a little bitsy bug on Sunday for some more! No luck on the belly weighted fluke, but I probably just need practice 🤙🎣

Finally got to check out Peabody, and caught the SKINNIEST bass I've ever seen 😭💔 Checked out some of the other lakes, and whacked some finnicky clear-water dinks on the ol' Ned! Great way to celebrate another year on the big rock. 🙏🎣💜
