FEELING EELATED! Well it’s been a hot minute! But I made it back out into the wild. Can’t keep a fisher girl down! ☺️ Stunner Morning with incoming tide! We’ve just had a few days of rain so the water is super dirty. I had no expectations. Three different Spots! Spot No. 1 under one of my favourite footbridges…5 min in - a solid tug. Unexpected. Another 5 min later I watched my line slowly being taken for a walk…I let him have it for a few seconds and then pounced. WHAM….he took off line in mouth. Fishy was all over the shop…I was thinking an Eel maybe….and I was right. He came in fairly easy. The hardest part was getting my lip clippers into his gob. But hooray - I worked up enough of a sweat and then moved on to the next location. 🥵 Spot No. 2 Very chill and peaceful and minimal nibbles at the river…but still managed 2 small Bream! They must have been hungry. 😝 Spot No. 3 Headed to the Harbour and it did not disappoint, even though I almost lost one of my favourite Servo rods due to a snag and then the top part of my rod coming off. Slightly stressy but all good. I cast under the jetty and the first taker was a fat legal Breambo at 25cm. I then wandered up the jetty a bit and cast between the boats but no action. I headed back and thought I’d have one more cast right underneath the bottom part of the jetty and no sooner had the line reached the bottom it tightened and an almighty CHOMP occurred. Dragged out this beautiful 32cm Bream to finish off my morning. Amazing and feeling so blessed I could make it out today. Tight Lines my Friends! Stay safe ☺️

GOT ONE! Pickings were slim today but I’ll take it. Fished incoming tide at Brunswick Heads. Not many hits and far too many nibblers. Hope you all had more luck than me 😬 Tight Lines my Friends! Stay safe ❤️

THE SERVO ROD STRIKES AGAIN Firstly for my lovely overseas friends - a servo is a Petrol/Gas Station. I bought this one rod cheap at a servo and it’s done me good ever since. Anyways it’s Saturday and stinking humid. After so much rain and storms I was desperate to get out on this sunny day but also wasn’t getting my hopes up. It just hit low tide and my usual spot under the footbridge was deadsies! So I decided to revisit one of the first spots I used to ALWAYS fish when I was a newbie. Wowsers I wasn’t expecting how much the storms and tides and rain has changed the terrain. About 2-3m inward from the water was a layer of clay mud. I had to cast in from way back. Within 2min I has my first little Bream on the line. Then literally every cast produced another one. 6 Bream in - some small some almost legal ..the bites stopped. Then the tide turned and WHAM…super solid unit of a Bream jumped on my hook. So happy!!!! I’m home now washing off all the dirt and clay from my gear and clothes ☺️ Tight Lines My Lovelies ❤️🐟
